In the solitude of my quiet time many years ago, I said to God, "I want to be so in tune with You, that if You have a heart that beat, our hearts would be fused together and I would feel all the emotions that You feel when You look down on Your children and Your creation."

 

I asked God to let me feel the pain that He feels when He is hurting for mankind.  I told Him that I wanted to understand the agony and grief, which He felt, as He looked down on His human creation.  

 

Be careful what you ask God for, because He might just grant you the desire of your heart!

 

Never in my wildest dream, did I expect that I would ever have to walk through the journey which I did, to get to that level of maturity in my Christian life.  If I had only known; even had the slightest idea; a glimmer of a hint; even a speck; so much as a mustard seed image of what I was to go through up ahead, I would have told God in no uncertain terms - "FORGET IT!" Yes-I-would-have!

 

I remember a period in my life, when the emotional pain was so intense, that I had to have a conversation with God, where I explained to Him (or tried to explain), that  I was like a sponge which had been slowly submerged in a large amount of water, and as a sponge becomes fully saturated when submerged in water, I was like that sponge. I-could-not-take-any-more!

God had to have great confidence in my ability to endure, and I know that he has great confidence in you as well.  Today, there has not been one soul who has come to me with a pain, problem or struggle, that I am unable to empathize with that person.

 

I may not have walked in the exact shoes which they did, but somewhere in all their pain, in some way I can say, "Hold my hand.  With God, lets walk through this together.  I understand."

 

As I give Almighty God the highest praise,  I borrow from the words of Marvin Sapp, and say to my Father God, my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and my Beloved Friend the Holy Spirit of God:

 

"Never would have made it; Never could have made it, without You!"

(I have since decided that where God took me from, to where He has brought me today, I have grown so much spiritually, and my love for God is such that - I wouldn't  change a thing!

 

 If God thought that I needed to go through what I did  to get to where He wanted me to be then, PRAISE BE TO EL OLAM!)

​

You are my Beloved Lord Jesus; I love You. The most important focus in my life is to love You with all of my heart and soul and strength. How can I love You more?
