Dear God
What do I do? How should I feel? How is one supposed to feel when faith says yes, but life says no? Did I hear You right, or, did I even hear from You? ... I've given up again because I just can't get it right. I feel like this battle for my soul is a never ending fight.

Dear God
... but my God, if You love me, why do You let me hurt? Do my tears not reach you? Do my prayers not enter Your heart? Does grace then, not abide to me through Christ Jesus?

Dear God
Like a child connected to its mother through her umbilical cord; I find myself bound to You. ... To stay connected is to abide in You ... because if I choose to cut the cord which holds me to You, I would surely drown in the craziness of this world.

Dear God
... this became my thing for a number of years. Went in and out of church often in tears. Breaking down and saying I'll never do it again. Just to do the same thing the next weekend ... off to party, like You didn't follow me there. I grieved the Holy Spirit like He didn't matter.
​
So the thing I face make me stronger. The enemy that taunts me soon will be no more. I am here because of God.
